I wonder from time to time if I'm( or more broadly CERTAIN people) are meant to be nocturnal. This isn't a habit I've forced myself into being a college slave, or even just plain old insomnia. Maybe somewhere deep in my sub-conscious maybe.. just maybe, I've convinced myself I'll become Tyler Durden one day if I just stop sleeping. Of course, this awesome fantasy ends as soon as I crash at around 11 in the morning, but as with many mortals, I have the inalienable right to dream.
I feel lighter, more active/energetic and alert at night, I don't have to squint, I get to enjoy sunsets AND rises
Everything is so peaceful and serene (Except when the dogs bark and make me feel like I'm..not alone..). Not to mention being 1000s of times more productive (compared to the TV statue I've become recently, ever observant of the screen)
Best of all: NO ONE IS UP TO BOTHER ME.
Worst part? NO ONE IS UP TO BOTHER
It's not that I can't sleep, I just don't want to

Korn's Path of Totality
Truth#1 I am a very big Korn appreciator and, have been since they first graced my ears long ago AND will probably download all of their albums until their are none due to SHEER NOSTALGIA but..
Truth#2 I am no longer a Korn 'fan'
If someone, ANYONE asked me to go to a Korn concert, back in the early 2000s, I would have aggressively nodded my head and squee'd a little after dirtying my shorts, but now.. meh. And this is coming from someone who had listened to "Take a Look in the Mirror" or "See You on the Other Side" at least once a day for a nearly a decade.
While what I'm writing to you now seems like a rather negative start to this review, I'll clarify my facts. Korn recently has gotten into the habit of leading us on with a great prerelease singles like "Narcissistic Cannibal","Get Up!", or 'Evolution" and delivering a lack luster full album afterward. (Notice I didn't mention anything about Korn III? Good.) Korn is also one of those bands; that after a decade or two have an 'identity crisis' or get bored of their sound of expression or want to experiment/go thru a phase, whatever you wanna call it and thats all fine. Artists have every right to do that and I'm sure many great bands have gone thru the same reconstructive process and been fine coming out the other end although I can't think of any right now*.
Korn probably, sadly isn't going to be one of those bands. Post-"Get Up!" success has made Korn decide to do something rather.. odd. Path of Totality is like a great Korn album got forcefully curb stomped and violated by Mr. Skrillex, which is, I'm sure, exactly the way Korn wanted that shit to go.
BOTTOMLINE & HIGHLIGHTS: Path of Totality is definitely out to steal the heart of all those new Dubsteppers out there, all the while gracing us old Korn fans with little niblets of their old noise and power. I guess I'll have to make due with the tasty bits of "Remember Who You Are" for now.
1.) 8. Let's Go (feat. Noisia)
2.) 11. Bleeding out (feat Feed Me)
3.) 6. Burn the Obedient (feat Noisia)
P.S. Korn, if you happen to read this, I'm still hard for you and your lyrics and sound fuck my mind good but, I don't think I can have the same feelings if you use Skrillex as a crutch anymore. I mean he's short enough as it is.
Regretfully yours,
Rex

Skyrim is summoning me
So I'll finish reposting and post more things in an hour or two. So deal with it, and don't cry.
Most posts for now will appear BELOW, as in DOWN, reverse chronological order, because I wrote these before, and now not.

Aged post quality may vary
Some posts might seem.. A little dated*. I don't care. I wrote them and that's what matters. Get skimming.
*I wrote some reviews, among other things through out the years I've been on house arrest, you know when I had the TIME**..
** When I wasn't in MSRRe, or watching movies..or tv..or anime, or living vicariously.. or planning my 5 step system to world domination.Or doing adult things with my parts. You know, normal people stuff.

From the depths...
of Skyrim, he escapes..
To blog for the pleasure of your eye, and mind. Rex has arrived.
Hi internet, I'm here to save you. Save you from having to ever look at a number rating system again(however efficient they make themselves out to be); save you from the suffering you'll have to endure to click another handful of links after you google to find just to find some half-assed opinion.
I'm here to eradicate your ignorance of any media subject I see fit.
I am here to provide YOU, with the knowledge you DESPERATELY need to see what's shit. And what's THE shit.
I will be your Super-critic
Because someone has to.

A thought
Where do they come from? If dreams are a concoction of set experiences and memories, where are these people coming from? Am I creating them myself on the fly? If I were creating them during this time wouldn't they be blurred out since they aren't a memory, they also wouldn't have lines of dialogue without my creating it either, yet they are just as fluid an un-commanded as the memories.
If I am truly giving something a fleeting existence just for my subconscious entertainment, wouldn't I be eviscerating tiny miracles of dream-state every time I wake up?
Regretfully yours,
Rex
